This book was really mid, I went in with really high expectation and it did not deliver, tiktok makes it out to be a great book everyone will love, I think you ether Love it or Hated it, I'm in the hate it category.
Liz- she was so annoying and she really pissed me off. Literally everything she did was becuse she thought her DEAD mother would want her to do and every convo she had somehow ending in talk about her DEAD mother that died like 10 YEARS ago. I get talking about it here and there and some off the feels she had but it was in EVERY chapter and she was such a shitty friend and only cared about herself and thats Parking spot
Wes- He was mid, He didnt piss me off like Liz but he was not the best book boyfriend like the internet makes him to be. I think its shitty that he parked in the parking spot just so he could see her becuse if he parked in the driver way what happend wouldn't have happed.
I think i also might not like Lynn Painter's writing style and thats ok. I would have DNF (Did not Finish) it if i wasnt reading it for school. The story line was not it for me and I would have liked it more if it had a bit of spice in it (i know its an YA Book)

Really fun read. I like the characters and the dialogue/banter felt so real. She really captured the feeling and social dynamics of high school. V cute.

denne va jævla cheesy. liz va litt for relatable når hu va delulu. liksom hu va sinnsykt plagsom men skjønnte og the delusions🫡 sko og ønska d va litt merr om når de faktisk va sammen. epiloguen va ikkje nok. og et vett at de har slått opp i neste bok, så e det virkelig verdt d å lesa an??😭

More of a 4.75 star! (Even though now that I waited too long to actually write my review out I cannot remember exactly why I deducted a quarter of a star, whoops)
I was in a place where I just really wanted a contemporary audiobook because I was already reading fantasy physically and I don’t like to have both books be the same genre or my brain can middle then a little. This one really honestly surprised me with how much I enjoyed this one?
I thought okay maybe a little cheesy with the whole falling in love obsession but so what. I get that it happened to deal with her mothers death. I loved how each chapter started with a different romcom movie quote a lot.
I really liked the characters. While I don’t share the grief of a parent, the story really gets to you you know? This one had me in tears a lot by the end. I really like Wes. Don’t love the lying to your best friend part.
Oh and her comment about converse being ugly and not supportive. ACK. I LOVE CONVERSES OKAY? They’re the main pair of shoes I’d where all the time. Aka my pair that I wear religiously still even though there are SOOOOO many holes in them hahaha eh whatever. They are NOT UGLY! But yes they aren’t the most supportive shoes. Like I killed my feet walking around NYC in them or wearing them to band camp for marching band when I taught. Again my mistake but I literally only wear them so whatever. That hurt me!
This was a surprise with how much I loved it. I stayed up late listening to this audiobook to finish it because I didn’t want to not finish the book before I went to bed. I just really came to love this story!!
Recommend if you are a fan of romcoms in general!

the beginning was hard for me i’m not gonna lie i wanted to like this book so much because everyone else did and i almost dnf’d but i’m so glad i didn’t. four stars because the beginning and fmc were frustrating
