boring

So, the kid was completely unbelievable as a character. This child is 5 and is going to school soon but is unable to hold it for 10 minutes? Okay. Also, the way he spoke and the things he noticed were just so weird.

Then we have editing mistakes galore and the amounts of random British English sprinkled in were just weird. I didn’t see any notice of an editor so whatever I guess. Also, why did Wade just randomly turn into Andy? Like no notice or anything, just randomly got a new name?

The 5 billion family member and random side characters were way too much and got annoying after a while. They were also kind of just rude and really unlikable.

Last point was their sexuality label. It got very weird that they kept stressing that they were two men in love, actively having a fulfilling sex life, but still considered themselves straight. Like… does this author realize there ARE other sexualities aside from straight, bisexual and gay?

This was a bit better than Shay's book, but definitely not the same quality of books 1 and 2.
It feels like the author is glossing over special moments of connection. We don't see them fall in love, we're just told about it after the fact. It's very disappointing considering how much I loved this series at first.

Once again, Isla Olsen has written a great story filled with loveable characters and the fabulous Kelly family that I wish I could meet IRL. As usual, she included the hysterical family group texts that I absolutely love in this series, and there were hints that leave you guessing about the next book. I love how some of this book takes place during the same time as the previous book and you get to see more details of things that were hinted at. You don't have to read these books in order, but I recommend it to fully enjoy them. I can't wait for the next book!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

I feel like I missed parts with the way it’s written. The beginning chapters were promising, but Wade and Brendan lost me right after chapter 6.
