If you are at all interested in the history behind Lincoln's assassination this is the book for you. While I am not a Bill O'Reilly fan most of the time, I think he did a really good job with this book. It is written like a novel so it makes you wonder what will happen next...even though you know what is going to happen.

Again, I'm no fan of Bill O'Reilly but I did enjoy this as well as "Killing Kennedy." No politics, seriously just the facts (basically a telling of everything everyone already knows).
I am not a fan of reading about battles and the first one quarter of this book was about Civil War battles. After that, the book picked and became far more interesting to me.

This book read more like historical fiction than history. There were too many instances of the author(s) assuming things that happened or what the people felt, when they have no evidence that certain things happened or that certain people felt a certain way. There was also too much of the author(s) praising Lincoln and villifying Boothe when they could have let their actions speak for themselves. Otherwise it was a fast, interesting read.
Surprisingly good, if all history books were written this way I may have done better in that subject in school.
