I haven't read a John Grisham noel in about 7 years this one was enjoyable, it had a lot of events that came together to make a pretty good thriller.
The plot is three former judges who are in a minimum security prison start a scam of outing Gays who are not out of the closet and extorting them. There scam hooks a big fish a current presidential nominee that the CIA has big plans for.
The plot move rapid fire and is fun, it has some characters that go the way side, and very few characters you can actually root for.
I would recommend this book for fans of legal thriller that need a quick escape.

A Grisham I had not yet read. Very enjoyable. He continues to amaze me on how he can put stories like this together. When you start to read it, it appears to be two stories in one and then they meet and come together.
There have been few Grisham novels I have not enjoyed. this one is good.

This book was okay, not as good as the other John Grisham book that I read, A Painted House, but I got through it.
The story is about three judges in a minimum security prison running scams on people by pretending to be young men in prison looking for an older man to love... The real story unfolds as their scheme grows bigger and deeper and more and more people become involved.

I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. It amused me more than anything, but I’m not sure if that was the author’s intention. There was just something humorous about the situation with the judges and justice of the peace and their situation inside prison. It was a clever, humorous story that entertained me, but it’s just three stars.

Not my favorite Grisham. Took a while to make all the connections and it was not as worth it. The bad guys had no redeeming qualities and it was annoying how it ended.
