holy cow!
Ok so first, I might ugly cry at that ending! Also, I love that the story continues after the climax and reveal of TED - who I was completely shocked at. Made sense, but not my first or fifth thought. Uhg to think I almost didn’t pick this one up… I knew it was coming out and still put it down on my list. Why I ever did that is beyond me. Lawson and Rue tell an amazing tale and really flesh out their characters and plots and I’m just in love with Story and her guys. I don’t necessarily love the big brother/little sister since it’s not my kink, but it was fine. Story is such a strong character, but she’s so human too and I love her for it!
Let’s see what those other Royal pains in the ass have in store for us

This book redeems the series. They finally so fighting and start fucking. It's so nice to see how string they can be as a unit. Twist was fairly predictable.

I liked this one a lot less than Lords of Pain. I just felt so many parts dragged soooooo much. It was definitely very spicy, but I feel like even those were drawn out so much.
I did really enjoy the Ted reveal and found it well done and well-written.
The ending especially went unbelievably on and on and on where the loose ends could have been tied up much more succinctly.
I also felt that the men lost a lot of their personalities compared to the first book and were more of stock characters.
Like with the first book I wish some of the misogyny would get actually called out rather than dumb little bits of threatening to punch guys who say something horrible.

Step siblings calling each other “little sister” and/or “big brother” before, during, or after having sex is a choice. Also, I just feel like the plot went off the rails a bit…

Damnn this series was darkk and those boys were vicious!!! I kind of didn’t want there to be a HEA because the guys were so ruthless towards Story. But she’s a badass bitch I like that she got revenge on them. I knew there was something off about story’s mom and Martin and I was right!! After that one big night things kind of flew by with Killian’s transition to power and such. I’m glad that they did get a HEA

It took me about four days to finish this book, while I devoured the previous two in less than a day each. This time, I had to force myself to get through it, which is never a good sign.
Honestly, it annoyed me to no end. Everyone acted so different from before, it completely lost the charm of the first two. I’ll give credit where it's due: the whole 'Ted' reveal did surprise me a bit. But by then, I was too bored to care.
The worst part? Around 80% until the end, the book feels like one long, drawn out epilogue. Like the story hits its climax, and then just...keeps going. It’s such a generic wrap up that anyone who reads this review could probably guess what it is.
Such a disappointing ending to the Lords part of the series.
TL;DR: MEH
