Story gets to come into her own more in this book. She starts acknowledging her desires and not letting shame control her. Her and the men find their rhythms, their connections at home with the new rules/non-rules, while keeping up appearances. Story starts gaining more respect as a lady on campus and the guys all make their final decisions of what their lives are going to look like. They start to step up and own the hard choices and of course as everything is getting slightly better for them, everything else explodes. We finally find out who Ted is and it is absolutely insane. I really love the extended epilogue, it leaves them in a wonderful place that made me feel ok stepping away from them and going on to the next book and society.

This was almost a 5 star read for me... it just dragged at a few points. Also, the smut was fabulous and there was way more of it in this than the prior books. But at times it felt like the sex scenes were being squeezed in at the expense of the plot continuing. I love my smut, but I prefer it to complement a storyline in narrative fiction (in Erotica, anything goes though, lol).

Bully romances aren't my usual cup of tea, so I loved that in this most of the book the MMCs had disavowed their their prior behavior and the RH was fully committed. Even though there was still a lot of super dark elements, there was a lot more substantive romance in this installment which I loved.

Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
