I hate that Story got pregnant at such a young age. Boo! I hate pregnancy tropes at the end of the book! Otherwise this may have been 4.5 stars. Still love Dimitri and Tristian, and less so Killian. 12/15/2024 I just realized that each book is each guy’s last name! Lords of Pain (Killian Payne); Lords of Wrath (Dimitri Rathbone); Lords of Mercy (Tristian Mercer). How clever!

Overall I enjoyed the conclusion to this three part saga but when the climax of the action occurred and there was nearly 100 pages left, I expected there to be a second twist or falling action in the form of exploring Story adjusting to her new role as queen of the South Side, which would fit with the overall theme of the story. Instead I was very confused by a hard left turn into what was essentially an extended epilogue featuring a

surprise pregnancy and birth story

which felt really odd and out of place with the main themes of this story. It was off putting and definitely kept this from being a truly satisfying end to the story.
