Say it with me y’all, Characted. Development. Holy moly did this series cause an obsession. Not only was the spice top tier but the plot was freaking amazing. I did NOT see that ending and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The characters started out awful and I was like “wow these guys are f*@$ed up, are they even redeemable”?! The answer to that was a hell yes they are! This last book really developed the guys so that you understand them and LOVE them, flaws and all. The spice and taboo isn’t for everyone but I 100% think it is worth giving it a shot even if it isn’t typically your thing. The book hangover is going to be brutal and I’m already looking forward to the next story these ladies come up with!!
I don't understand the need for almost 600 pages. The stalker was obvious since book 1, most of this book is sex and while I like spicy scenes, the sex here left me uncomfortable and wew. It was more like performance porn you watch than erotic and sexy.
The only think I liked is how the main dudes finally developed and were a bit better. I liked how they saw her like a queen and were around her like bees surrounding the honey.

eh
I had such high hopes for where this was going, but it ultimately fell flat for me. Still might continue on with the rest of the royals, but this was just so… nice? I guess. Idk.
Lots of plot lines, some weird turns.

Lords of Mercy is the conclusion of Story and her Lords, Killian (Killer) Tristian and Dimitri (Rath).
There were more twists and turns to come in this book. There was still the focus on finding Story's stalker, Ted. When you find out who it is, I was like ?????? When you get their reasoning I can understand why, but at the actual reveal, it was a case of REALLY!!!
The character development come front and centre in this book. It was time for the guys to truly redeem themselves.
This book wasn't as dark as Lords of Pain and Lords of Wrath, but considering what Story has already been put through, I was glad that this book was a little lighter. Don't get me wrong, there are still a couple of dark parts, just nothing compared to the previous books.
This book focused more on the relationship between Story and her guys. Learning to live together, love together and learning to trust each other. Each of the guys show how much they love Story as the book progresses.
The sex scenes were amazing. When they decided to play Candy Cocks. Fun was had by all.
Considering how close the guys got at times when they were with Story, I thought there was going to be some MM action. There wasn't, which I was glad for as I really wanted their focus to be on their Lady.
And what can I say about Ms Crane. She was a cranky old battle axe and her insults of the guys were hilarious.
FAVOURITE QUOTE (Just tied the Lords books together)
“Over the years, we’ve weaved together the pain of love, the wrath of loss, and the mercy of forgiveness. This is what it means to love something more than yourself, and this is what we’ve created with it. Our own little Kingdom.”

i will admit this book was still s weird as the other ones the but it was kinda cute espically when Dmitri was reading the Storys tummy it was so cute -as much as it was uncomfortable i can admit that the end was cute but idk about the rest of it im just a sucker for the baby trope tbh

I loved this series but I wish I'd stopped reading when the story all tied together the ending just didn't do it for me. It felt like they were trying to meet a word count so made up some whacked out ending that didn't fit the characters however till that point I loved it!
