The final installment picks up right where Wrath left off with so many twists and unexpected events! Murder, mystery, and 237 — mayhem.
At this point, Story has made her decision and she’s chosen her Lords. She’ll remain their Lady and they’ll face all their problems, head on, together.
These characters have been growing right in front of our eyes as each Lord reveals more of himself. We learn why - and how - they became the tortured @$$holes they are. Likewise, we see a much softer side to each of them as their love for their Lady grows any they are willing to be vulnerable in order to prove they deserve her.
Finally, Ted has been revealed and W.T.F.?! At one point I had contemplated that person as the identity of Ted, but didn’t give it much credence. I do love to be kept guessing and not have the twists so easy to unravel. We also see see resolution on other fronts in addition to the ascension of power for the South Side’s heir-apparent.
This series has been raw and real, at times ugly. Despite or, perhaps because of, the intensity of these relationships the smex was filthy and surprisingly emotional.
I am sad that we’re leaving the brownstone, but I’m anxious to get to know the other Royals of Forsyth U. Angel and Sam made us fall for these complex anti-heroes that you love to hate and I can’t wait to see how the Dukes redeem themselves!

This trilogy ….man this trilogy was EVERYTHING!! I had to put the book down a couple times every now and again to regroup and get my feelings straightened out before picking it up again. I was struggling between wanting to slow down on the reading and savoring it…..but at the same time I’m very impatient and wanted to keep reading to see what happens next.
