I liked all the other characters except the main lead. I'm sad too, cause I felt in my bones that this was gonna be good. But I can't do it to myself anymore.

A romantic fantasy that’s is like a mullet. More romance in the front, the full fantasy in the back, but then it circles back around until romantasy in the end. I love it. Got a little preachy with the human dating experience but I could take it because it explained Rayna’s reasoning & behavior. The story is so good, I’m ready to dive into the next book

Honestly this book was SO GOOD. It was the feel good fun demon peen I needed. I loved how the author wove Blackness into the story, where I could really see someone who looked like me dealing with some crazy shit and having the attitude of “IKYFL!” & if you know, you know! It’s not super complicated. Straight forward. Not plot heavy but it’s solid enough to make you want to stay till the end to find out where you end up. I’m certainly super excited for her next read and will DEFINITELY be watching out for this author!
