I’ve read a lot of weird books but this one is the weirdest in a while. Lots of demon smut obviously but also a rather long, wild plot. And a somewhat abrupt end - no cliffhanger though. 
I would not recommend but I also wouldn’t say “oh my god not that book” if I saw someone reading it. So… do with that what you will.

Not a demon more like an Alien

I love Jessica Cage because she’s great at placing authentic Black characters into fantasy or sci-fi settings. This novel is so sweet and romantic. I love the mix of magic and learning how to trust. I also love her subversion of the concepts of demons, hell, and other dimensions/planets in the universe. It’s well thought out and entertaining. I want a little blue denati of my own.

METICE, the man you are 😌🥵

Rayna and Metice’s banter is fucking great, and this book is just HOT but… actually has a really fun plot?! Who knew? This was my first Jessica Cage and I will absolutely be reading more! I blasted through this (mostly because I have book club for this one, lol) but it was so fun and just lovable all-around.
