What a witty classic ! I really enjoyed reading this and it gave me hope that I can like other classic books. All four little women in this novel show such brilliant and funny characters each in their own way. I'm so glad Jo got her happy ending as with Amy and Meg. The heartbreak of loosing Beth was touched upon so well and nearly brought me to tears. Overall a great book about homely love, finding yourself growing up and the challenges you face.

Re-read 12/01/2017

Supe que el amor no existía desde que Jo rechazó a Laurie.

Aún no supero a Laurie y Jo, pero quería releer el libro antes de ver la película. La primera parte de mujercitas siempre será la mejor.

I will never be able to wholeheartedly get on board with this one. Every year I read it, and every year it leaves me disappointed and far from satisfied.

It has always been a confusing read for me as it seems to be exactly what feminist Louisa never wanted. It is very much a traditional voice of its time. A sentiment I didn't get in Part one of little women. As sentimental and moral as it was, there was always an underlying sense of rebellion and fun...which I can't find in the sequel. Everyone follows very easy and obvious paths. Despite some of them being very WRONG paths (avoiding spoilers, but im sure you know exactly which parts I mean...)

The family is often parted in this book, and although very true to life in regards to growing up and growing apart, it took away from the homey feel that Little Women is known for.

After reading it many, many times I've finally come to the conclusion that I will never understand or agree with this book. But thats life! Maybe that's what mischief-loving Louisa was trying to say...who knows.

Enjoyed this book way better than the first. The writing stylebis the same, very good, but old-timey. The references to Christianity are a lot less in number, which i like.

Dear Beth <3

This story felt way more full. I could actually get into the plot, for there was one. I loved the fact that the story got split up over the main characters, for they were split up to.
