I enjoyed reading this though I must question how much was actually creative writing of the "editor" Beatrice Sparks. It's very dark subject and it does serve some purpose as cautionary tale... Don't know, I think Go Ask Alice was better portrayed and the message got better across. Must admit the subject matter makes me nervous and in the end it does serve its purpose of warning.

This was the first novel I’ve read in a long time that I didn’t like one bit. Had I not bought it, I wouldn’t have even finished it.

I enjoyed this book just as I have enjoyed all of Beatrice Sparks's books.

Not the story I had expected, not my favorite. The ending was good but sad, definitely what I expected.

How can a character who doesn’t know about witchcraft until literally halfway through the book, use « Judas » as a swear from the first page? A simple minded, scaremongering book, written by a fraud and stolen from a gifted child’s real life. Shame on Beatrice Sparks.

This just wasn’t good. It’s sad because I actually really enjoyed Go Ask Alice, but this just didn’t come close to that. The whole occult storyline was just ridiculous.
