This was super fast paced and a fun time. It’s a really interesting concept that kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t love the last 150 pages because of the direction it took, but it was still thrilling. I liked the characters and I liked the romance what can I say. Also the fact that this had 77 chapters made me happy( if you know you know). If you want a fast paced entertaining thriller I would recommend this.

The first half of this thriller is brilliant - while the concept seems a little wild, it was fascinating and really kept you gripped. The second half deals more with the aftermath and it was slightly underwhelming…really hated the ending itself

because it just ended in a mass shootout essentially, with no real justice served.

Tedious and bland. I loved the Duffys, which were sly, dark and funny. Am v glad this made enough money for McKinty to get back writing again as he is fab, but this is hard boiled Americanised pants. (I'll be fair, had I not read the Duffys I'd probably give this a 3.5 but I wanted more of his humour and sharp writing and this was not it).

this book definitely has a unique story. personally, i believe it was a tad bit to hyped up by the person that recommended this. make sure you google or search for warnings before reading.

I really didn’t like this book. the writing was not my favorite, the characters felt illegitimate, and the ending/reveal was cheap and obvious in my opinion. after reading the back i was so incredibly excited to read and love this but it just felt like a first draft :(
