What did I just read?  Why did I even read it?

I don't know what I was expecting, but it definitely did not deliver.  Also, the twist was obvious from a mile away.

I think I was swayed by those that said they loved the couple.  I've read darker romances before and they've been meh to okay so I figured, maybe this is the one.  It was not the one.

I actually really enjoyed this book, I’m pretty sure it’s the first friends to lovers I’ve ever read. I loved all the characters, the plot, the writing style and everything else.   
It was so annoying how Lily‘s addiction was never taken seriously as Lo’s. And the slut shaming, even sometimes from Lo himself, made me so mad. 
However, I’m sure Loren Hale is going to become one of the many fictional loves of my life. 
This is a long (and expensive) series but I’m so looking forward to reading the rest.
