inspiring lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

This was another good read. Some parts I skipped because they were a bit depressing

i can appreciate struggle the author went through, but i didn’t like anything about this collection. particularly the bad grammar, repeated overuse of cliches, and the blatant plagiarism.

poem:

you fall in love like how
you catch your breath,
slowly then all at once,
and you don’t realize
you’re in love until it
leaves you once again.

quote from john green’s ‘the fault in our stars’:

‘as he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.'

fun book, and was the first time me experiencing, adding my own  poetry with the poems

its like scrolling on Pinterest to find a good quote but you find one in 100 that is good enough.

Poor Writing and Unimaginative

I was sorely disappointed by this book as I typically enjoy this type of poetry. This read like a failed Creative Writing assignment in which her understanding of poetry was simply lowercase letters and the enter key. There were a few poems that were eloquent and relatable, but they hardly made the book worth the read. In fact, some of the quotes were really identical to famous quotes that can be found elsewhere. Overall, I would not recommend, but I hope that her books have gotten better as she’s matured.
