I’ve read poetry before but none that I could fully relate to as I did with the poems in this book.
It’s amazing how so much could be said in such short sentences.

it was a simple, quick read. also a lot like those tumblr/wattpad poems (i don't necessarily mean that in a bad way). some of the poems were quite relatable and honestly, i am pretty impressed that someone at 16 could write like this. it does have some triggering topics though, so I'd be careful about that if i ever read it again. the poetess was able to put into words what a lot of other teenagers feel, while reminding them that they are not alone. it was quite nice book, just maybe too bland for me.
dark sad medium-paced

there were some good and thought-provoking lines but most of it fell flat, it was quite cliché

it's the fact that rupi kaur has more substance than this is what's giving me a mental spiral

I don’t think this is “poetry”…
It’s a 2 stars for me. I won’t rate it tho because the author is opening up about something serious so it feels weird to rate her sadness ig?
