I used this book for my giant research project final and I read it through at least 10 times to try to find Jim's dialectical speech. Honestly have little more to say about it.
Wow. I have to say that this was way worse than I remembered. The n-word is way more frequent than I thought, and while some parts are clever, I found myself skipping/skimming long sections.

Reread Huck after an interval of maybe 15 years since my first read, motivated mainly out of an urge to refresh the story in my mind and formulate a reasoned opinion on the hubhub over the n-word-removed version beyond my basic abhorrence of censorship. Came away from the reading respecting and enjoying the book more the second time around, and feeling Twain knew what he was doing, people. The word is putrid in and of itself, and reading it 209 times isn't my favorite part of the book, but it has its place in the times and the story. For a pretty great little take on the book and its power and how we can loathe the word but honor the author, check out this thoughtful piece by Michael Chabon on how he felt reading Huck aloud to his kids: http://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2011/01/the-unspeakable-in-its-jammies/69369/.
It was interesting just not a book I would willingly sit down and read. I listened to it as an audio book while I got ready in the morning and that was fine
