All the personal connection and emotion that should have been laced through the entire series is concentrated in one book, which makes it quite overwhelming. The situation is depressing, the ending abrupt, and the resolution... imperfect. Although, considering that the story takes place in a universe in which human society depends on a thousand deaths per day, this should not be surprising.

A little blander than the rest in the series.

While not one of the best books in the series, it sure holds up to the trilogy and ups the stakes. The real wish I had was the end of the book was slightly more thought out. The end felt very underwhelming compared to the others.

Another fun adventure, although riddled with heartbreak as all final books in a trilogy tend to be. I think this is my favourite of the three. Although as with the other books, the ending is very abrupt, especially ironic for a story so concerned with consequences for one's actions.

I thought this was really great. This is the final book in the trilogy for Eisenhorn, though the omnibus I'm reading has another full book in it, and its truly a great ending. Every little thing and mistake Eisenhorn has made throughout all the last two books come back and completely bites him in the ass in a way that feels very genuine and honest for what the consequences of messing with the warp should be. I really liked how it treats Eisenhorn truly coming into his own as a very extreme radical near the same as Quixos from the end of the last book in a way that feels really earned. Great book and ending.
