This is what I call a really good alternative to Call Me By Your Name, mixed with a backdrop about queer community and culture within California. Aria was such an interesting character to read about, and I thought her self-discovery journey was well done. The writing was beautiful, and I found myself feeling so much for Aria and really understanding her loneliness and kind of relating to her journey. Her relationship with Joan was so sweet, and I think her relationship with Steph was definitely interesting. This story is about young love and feeling desired and seen for the first time in your life, and I think the author did a good job exploring that.

This captures the feeling of longing and coming out and first queer love so perfectly.
