Wow. I knew the backstory was coming, but I didn't think it would be that powerful. This volume keeps the story on track to be an all-time classic. I can't wait to see how they wrap this up.

I love when mid way through a series you realize that the author has totally plotted out the whole story, and understands where the changes along the way need to happen in the story to keep the reader engaged and interested in the outcome. This story could be flaccid by now, but instead, I am wondering how to leave early from work to get home and read the rest of the series and find out how it all ends.

We finally got answers on how the keys were made and by who. We also find out Mr. Locke's full story.

This volume wasn't my cup of tea, took me months to finish it, but it was totally worth it.
