I had to confirm that this was published in 1996; it FEELS like it was published in 1969.

I absolutely do not give a shit about the vampire hunters or their semi-perilous journey to the rim wall.

I realized I just didn't care about the world anymore because the answer about who the builders were was pretty much answered in the last book.

Much more sex in this one than the previous ones that had their fair share. Nothing super explicit, but enough to make say “let’s get on with the story.”
This book also told more perspectives outside Louis Wu. I think I prefer sticking with Louis.
Otherwise, enjoyed the story. It ended with a little bit of a cliffhanger, but since it is a series, that is forgivable.

I couldn't finish this book. At this point I'm prepared to say that the author is a bit of a pervert - there is so much gratuitous/pointless interspecies sex in the first part of this book that I finally just gave up. I have no idea what the plot is supposed to be, because it's both boring and hidden in between page after page after page of weird sex. I won't be finishing the series.

good "technolust" but ultimately the characters are awful ... still I read all of them...
