What an absolutely BEAUTIFULLY, musically, vibrantly written PB that celebrates the communities that shape us. In this case, The Bronx. I’m a life long Californian, but when I read this story, I wanted to be from the Bronx so it could hit even harder than it already did! The art is a masterpiece and the words come alive when you read them aloud. Highly recommend adding this to your library!

A gorgeously written and illustrated picture book about the author's love for her neighborhood. This needs to be nominated of awards.
