2. astrid parker doesn't fail

veremos qué me depara la vida cuando me lea el de iris.

I thought it was a super cute and digestible read, especially for the summer! I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the trilogy!

I loved this so much.

I have to say, Jordan pissed me off a lot I’m sorry.

Astrid though, made this entire fucking book for me. This woman who is lost in life and doesn’t even realize how unhappy she is. Who realizes that she’s queer at thirty years old. I loved reading about her journey as she realizes she’s attracted to women. As she navigates dating a woman for the first time. In retrospect, thirty is young but usually in a lot of media by then everyone has their sexuality all figured out so I really enjoyed this. Her relationship with her mother also ripped my heart out of my chest. I love Astrid so much and I just want to wrap her up in a blanket and protect her from every bad thing.

In the end her relationship with Jordan got to me. The grand gesture got to me. I am so soft and tender right now.

This book made me feel so many things. I would die for Astrid Parker.

This was a re-read for me, and the book was just as good the second time around. I love Astrid's journey of trying to figure out her identity and how that fits into her views of herself and how others have viewed her. I also love Jordan's journey of learning what love can look like again and learning to trust herself and her feelings. Also you can't go wrong with a renovation as the backdrop of the story.
