Anyone interested in the history of the civil rights movement or progressive politics in general should read this book. It’s incredibly informative, interesting, and provides a nuanced portrait of a very misunderstood man. King was far more radical and human than his portrayal by the media and politicians.

I found this book inspiring.

It was really interesting, but very long, slow, and I had a very difficult time with how King treated his wife and women in general.
