2 stars for the effort.. I wanted the photos to match the poems, they didn’t add anything and they felt irrelevant for the most of the book.

Pics were cool, but most of the writing was meaningless and trite with the occasional interesting turn of phrase.

Overall, not worth anyone’s time.

This book was really just like any other poetry book. Some of the poems didn’t make sense at all, some were cheesy as hell, and some made me feel like I had a knife on my chest. I ironically did in fact find this book at random and I read a lot of things I think I needed to hear, or felt things I needed to feel. Not incredibly spectacular but it did make me remember my love of poetry and how much I love words

Imagine that the douchey, fakely profound guy in your psych 101 class and the worst, equally fakely profound girl in your poetry class that your professor for some stupid reason thinks is a genius had a one night stand that resulted in a baby.

That is this book. And it's almost unbearably terrible. Do not read it.

This book is relatable and that's the beauty of it. The author said "Everyone else who reads it, doesn’t get it. They may think they get it, but they don’t." and yes, right now, I think I get it, but I really don't. I probably will never know what it really means but it's beautiful how you can relate to something you're not even sure of. Maybe it's just because I am sad at the moment which is why I find it beautiful but it is good to know that someone who you don't even know has felt the similar feeling you're feeling even though you both do not know the dark stories behind both your emotions and thoughts.
