Calvino knows how to play with his readers. And by play I mean tease the fuck out of them.

So smart, so clever. The the ultimate reader's read. He's written us in. This story folds in on itself over and over, characters appear and reappear, story after story remains unfinished without becoming frustrating. Would love to read it again - the hallmark of a good 5-star.

It was an interesting concept and premise. However, it was also far too meta and confusing for me personally. While I probably could’ve pushed through it, I wasn’t enjoying the reading experience. It’s unlikely that I’ll ever pick this one back up unfortunately.
