While I enjoyed the writing and story overall, it was far too predictable in my opinion. I think the "twist" is made too obvious from the start which led to not caring as much about the story, since I had figured it all out. I really enjoyed Sorry Not Sorry and thought Local Woman Missing was pretty good, this one fell a little flat for me.
Nooo. Halfway through the book, I thought I had it figured out but I also thought to myself... there's no way that's where the author is going. But it was. Really predictable and just kind of an overdone topic in my opinion.
I thought it was good, but a bit boring in some spots. It was kind of strange. I really loved the twist, though! Many of the twists had proper setups, without giving too much away, and revelations that made you look back on the whole novel differently. At one point, I was worried this was going down the oh-so-familiar and tired road of demonizing mental illness, but thankfully it took a turn at the end there.

Não é um livro de arrepiar, nem tão pouco de refletir. Cheguei mesmo a não gostar de Sadie pelo facto de estar demasiado cansada para estar com os filhos, mas para se envolver em coscuvilhice e trafulhices estava ela pronta.
