Pros:
• The reveal helped pick up the pace!

Cons:
• HOW was it possible that Sadie made it through med school without
knowing that she had split personalities? She had so much trauma and didn’t know for decades? How the hell did no one bring this to her attention?????

• I was not a fan of the dynamic between Sadie and Imogen. I can understand a teenager being wary and slow to warming up to new people. But the entire book she was giving dagger eyes and sass and I was NOT a fan. ESPECIALLY because Imogen
literally helped her mom end her life, and Sadie the DOCTOR doesn’t try to out her in therapy immediately!? Even before she found out that Imogen helped her mom end her life, Imogen NEEDED to be in therapy!

• Will is the worst human.
And the fact that he was able to do SO many psychotic acts is mind blowing. How do you marry someone who has split personalities, get her to do the MURDERING for you, and then try to lock her up and take the kids???? Make it make sense!
That just felt too unrealistic at times.

I’ve liked other Mary Kubica novels, but this one wasn’t as solid. There were a few plot holes, and I didn’t think the book needed to be as long as it was, since it was mostly  slowly paced until the very end.

There was about 6 plot twists all within the last like 20% of the book. It was good, not great.

I’ve never read any by the author before but after reading this one, I definitely will. There are all kinds of twists and turns and just when I thought I had it figured out, I got dropped on the floor. A very good read, fast-paced and easy movement.

Okay…this could have been soooo good. I was locked in at the end. But there was too much fluff at the beginning. The first 10 hours of this book were painfully slow. The only reason I didn’t give up on it is because I’ve been impressed with this author, and I’ve had a few DNFs lately.

This was SO GOOOOOD! I truly didn’t see any of this coming. I don’t know if I’m just rusty or what but I was thrown for so many loops and was shocked by them all! One of her best books!
