I feel like the plot twist with the main character was seen from a mile away. Now the other plot twist redeemed the whole thing and I was appreciative although far fetched that he could hide all that…but whatever I don’t read for reality

I started out really liking this book. The story was just mysterious and suspenseful enough to keep me reading on. By the middle of the book, I was becoming more disappointed in what was happening, and especially how the main character, Sadie, was handling everything. She seemed weak, directionless, gullible and easily manipulated. She’s a doctor! She went to school successfully and practiced, but she repeatedly failed to trust herself and her gut, it was frustrating. I raced through the last pages just to make sure I finished the book, just to get it “over with” and that is never a good sign. I rated the book a 3 because a 2 seemed too low and I liked other books by this Kubrick.

This was my first book I’ve read by Mary Kubica and she did not disappoint.👍Sadie’s family is new on the island trying to have a change of pace but their neighbor has just been murdered with no idea who done it.💀The twists were good and honestly I didn’t have a full handle on what was gonna happen most of the time.🤔The audiobook was solid and the story kept me intrigued and thinking the whole time. The ending was satisfying and I will definitely check out more by this author in the future.🤯🐭🤥👩‍⚕️☠️

A sobrinha gravou a confissão de Will enquanto ele tentava matar Sadie.
