I think Mary Kubica's books are perfect for things like plane rides, where you just want to be absorbed in a story for awhile and pass the time. I guessed at least one of the twists pretty early on, but there was enough to keep me reading and enjoying it.

Twenty-five percent of the way in, the main "twist" is glaringly obvious and it's clear that the reader will have to trudge through depictions of child abuse and mental illness.

Jaw DROPPED at the ending. I had so many theories running thru my head the entire time and turns out all of them were wrong LOL. Loved it.
