🏒Rush The Edge by S. J. Sylvis🪴
“She was the girl I was never supposed to look at, let alone touch. Except, I did, and I haven’t been the same since.”
“You can be awfully sweet when you want to be”….Kane finally turns to me. “Don’t tell anyone that.”
Ok give me 50 more please 💳! I love this, enemies to lovers, childhood neighbours, brothers best friend and all the banter you could wish for. Plus it has autoimmune representation which was great to see!
I am not ready to leave Kane and Daisy, these two compliment each other so well. Kane with his possessive, jealous tendencies and dominant self while Daisy is caring, teasing and a boundary pusher 😏. All coming together to make a fun and addicting story
Also that scene at the rink…🥵. The “fuck it” moment too 🤭. This had me giggling and kicking my feet the whole time. Definitely a must read!
Tropes:

Rush the Edge (Blue Devils Hockey #3) by SJ Sylvis
Release date: May 22nd - Free on Kindle Unlimited!
Kane and Daisy's story.
*I always get what I want. And what I want is her.*
I devoured this book! There's nothing like a good young, secret love, brother's best friend, forbidden romance turned sour, second chance at a first chance, hockey romance! Not to mention a OTT possessive Hero, forced proximity, neighbors, workplace, family trouble, and a hidden chronic illness!
Kane has been best friend's with Daisy's older brother River since they were children & neighbors. In high school, Kane and Daisy had a complicated friendship with forbidden feelings. They had one passionate night before Kane left for the Junior Hockey League that ended in crushed feelings and a vow to never listen to his heart again.
6 years later, Daisy is moving in with River in Chicago, which (surprise!) makes her neighbors with Kane, who still holds a grudge against her. He gets her a job as his hockey team's mascot, the Blue Devil, to humiliate and aggravate her, but Daisy won't give him the satisfaction letting him see her sweat, so she accepts the position. This backfires spectacularly for Kane due to their now close proximity, and his teammates' flirting that drives him to possessiveness. So begins a battle of wills and one-upmanship between the two of them that leads to steamy tension and a game of chicken they will eventually lose! (Surprising to no one! Except maybe River.)
I loved Kane and Daisy's sharp-edged banter. You can see how well they know each other through their barbs. It's basically fighting as flirting. I wouldn't say their story is ENEMIES to lovers, more like Scorned to lovers. But once Kane learns the true reason Daisy moved to Chicago, as well as the truth behind that fateful night 6 years ago, his icy walls melt, and he shows his big heart and how much he truly cares for her.
All that banter and tension led to some excellent spice, but their friendship and love for one another shine through. This series just continues to deliver!

The Chicago Blue Devils are back with a brand new Little Devil being added to the team 😈 Daisy is moving to Chicago closer to a specialist to help get her Lupus under control. Little does she know, her brother's best friend lives in the same building and she definitely wouldn't have moved if she knew that! They have a past, ya know? Kane took her virginity years ago, but when she turned him down afterward he never got over it! Instead, a grudge has been held and what better way to get revenge than making Daisy the new mascot for his professional hockey team 😂 Trust me, Daisy isn't one to back down from a challenge!!
Yet another banger of a book in this series! A true hate to lovers, second chance romance with all the tensionnn 🥵 Kane loves Daisy from the very first page, there's no denying that - I was so ready for them to finally be on the ✨same✨ page! Honestly, if this book taught me one thing, it was who needs a bedroom to have s3x?! Nahhh, that's way too boring 🤭

I absolutely devoured Kane & Daisy’s story. I loveeeeee second chance romances and this did not disappoint! Even after 6 years, the love they have for each other (even when they try to hide it) was beautiful to read. The little things they did to show how much they cared, even after so long, ugh my heart. 🥹
There were some scenes with the hockey guys and with River that had me seriously cracking up, OUT LOUD 🤣 I love the relationships they all have with one another.
The spicy scenes in this were a helluva good time! The tension, banter, teasing, and just overall lead up between the two of them made these scenes even hotter 🥵
Uhm Malakai & Reese? 👀👀👀 I’m ecstatic for the next book in this series!
Some of my favorite quotes:
“If you’re off-limits to me, you’re off-limits to everyone.”
“I’ll keep you a secret forever if you need me to… as long as I get to keep you forever too.”
Thank you so much to SJ Silvis, her team, and Valentine PR for the opportunity to receive and review an ARC 💙

Thanks to Valentines PR for selecting me for this ARC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing this amazing book. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤
Kane and Daisy.
I always love childhood friends to lovers. With this book we get a twist to it because they were childhood friends to crushes to lovers to enemies&strangers to friends to lovers again and I loved every second of it. First up I HAVE to start with Daisy because she was so selfless when it came to their relationship from they were younger to growing up. When she realized that she was the reason he would stay and not go away to juniors and not start his hockey career, she broke their hearts. Of course he didn't know until years later. And then how strong she was having to deal with her sickness, a sickness that could change everything but brings so much awareness to reality. When it came to Kane, we all know and lobe him since the first book of the series and we love him. With this book, his book, we got to see a different side to him. And as much as he "hated" Daisy for breaking his heart, he always showed up for her, and not only because she was also his bestfriends brother, but because he still craved, needed and loved her.
Overall I give this book a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. The banter, the push and pull and the close proximity they were always in just made them get closer and closer. Oh did I mention that were also neighbors? It made it so much harder for them to resist. The sneaking around made it even 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I loved how whenever she would have a flare, he would be there to help her get through it, how he did his own research to help her, it was *chefs kiss* They helped each other heal but their reunion was more than that because they knew each other so well and them missing out on so much in each others lives, they just had to make up for lost time and that they did. And if you love you an MMC that claim they hate the FMC but they were childhood friends once upon a time and he wore her scrunchie as one of his rituals from then ans still wears it to this day? Then this is for you. Because that's sentimental. And also if you love you an FMC that saved a paper with goals from when she and the MMC were childhood friends and when he finally made it, she texts him pic of said piece if paper? Then again this is for you. They were both shocked that each other still had the scrunchie and piece of paper. They never stopped thinking about each other and loving each other, they just had to hide their hearts but in the end it all worked out and they were each other's ENDGAME! But yeah as I always say the spice was spicing, they were 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵. Is it getting hot in here because that mouth on both of them especially Kane Barlow was INTENSE in all the best way. The book was incredible and I can't wait for new fave Malaki's book because he's obsessed with the FMC in all the best ways and I can't wait to see that different side to him.

Another 5 star read in the Blue Devils Hockey Series! I loved the writing, characters, side characters, and emotions this book made me feel. Daisy is the little sister of Kane's childhood best friend and he's always been super protective of Daisy. Their banter, chemistry, and tension was so strong!
I absolutely loved getting little peeks into their past, especially Kane's. His backstory added so much emotion to the story. Honestly, I adored both of them as individuals, but together they were amazing. The way Kane protected and cared for Daisy made me SWOON!
If you're like me and you love reading stories that make your heart ache in the best way possible, with all the angst and emotion leading to something truly heartwarming, then you absolutely HAVE to read this one!
Thank you to S.J Sylvis and her team for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read it and gave an honest review.

Oh my gosh Rush The Edge had everything I needed and more!! Kane (MMC) is a hot hockey player, and Daisy is his best friend’s little sister and childhood neighbor. When they come face to face 10 years after the last time they saw each other it’s an angsty enemies to lovers situation. They both had things they were keeping from each other for years! And the constant bickering between these two was hilarious. The games that they played with each other like getting Daisy a job as the mascot or ….cough..cough…strip hockey, amazing. I also loved seeing our old friends Rhodes (Skate The Line) and Emory (Play The Game) giving hell to Kane about the new mascot. Daisy is fiery and not the same girl Kane knew all those years ago and he secretly loved it. What did I love best about Rush The Edge? Everything, seriously. We have spice, we have cute nicknames, we have hate to love and even close proximity. SJ Sylvis hits it out of the park again!
Daisy and Kane are fantastic. Daisy having an autoimmune disease really made me love this book more because it showed the ups and downs of invisible chronic illness. Kane is loyal and kind but doesn’t let anyone see besides Daisy. Kane was so possessive it was perfect. This book made me love this series more and look forward to the next one.
I am OBSESSED with Kane and Daisy! I ate this book up and read it in a day. It is so good. The banter between the two of them was the best and the burn is definitely SLOW but it was worth it. Oh and the chemistry between Daisy and Kane was….perfect. KANE absolutely stole my heart. I felt everything for him. This is definitely one of my favorite SJ books.
I read an advanced copy of Rush The Edge and this is my honest opinion. You should definitely read the Chicago Blue Devils series. It is one of my absolute favorite series of all time.
