Oh...much better than Secret Vampire. Brings in some major new, fascinating, characters. Very difficult to put down. Felt like a combination of a good vampire novel and a good mystery story. I don't know why, but it had an Agatha Christie feel to it...

Still easily one of the best of this series.

It's pretty good, probably meant for the younger audience. The relationships can feel a bit too fast though.

This was an ok sequel to the first book. It didn't involve the protagonists from book 1, so don't be expecting to see them. We do get to see the lighter side of Ashe, however. I felt, like the other book, her characters are a little wooden and not well formed. Even during "the kiss," you are not really involved in the characters and it isn't believable. This author could use some more research time reading romance novels or something seeing how to build up some chemistry and angst. It was very short, so I don't feel like I lost anything. I probably will read the next book in the series. Lukewarm review.

A friend found this for me at a charity shop, because I've been trying to find the terrible book series about vampires that I read on holiday when I was a teenager! This isn't the one, but such an enjoyable experience for alllll the wrong reasons.
