This book was OK, I didn't dislike it, but I also wasn't a huge fan of it. I think the writing style just wasn't for me, and I also don't normally like books that take place entirely in a high school setting, where the characters are all high schoolers. I don't mind YA books. But when the majority of the plot is occurring at school and when the characters are all very immature, that just isn't my cup of tea. If you don't mind that kind of thing, you may like this book. It did have some redeeming parts, particularly the ending was the best part of the best and is why I gave this 3 stars. So, it might be worth a read for you but it may not.

I loved this book. It kept my attention and just when you think you got it figured out... Nope!
You feel Ella's tension and fear as she tries to come to terms with the fact that not only was she attacked and quite possible almost killed, but the person behind all of it isn't done tormenting her. Not to mention classmates seem to keep coming up missing and then bodies start showing up. It's enough to keep anyone up at night not to mention keep you turning the pages!
As of that weren't enough there is Jensen. Current school heartthrob and one of Ella's ex-best friends. Someone she hasn't gotten over and someone who hurt her in the past. But when the going gets tough he is there and exactly who she needs. I honestly felt like I was watching a lifetime movie... But a good one. Like ones they used to do. With good actors.
If young adult, suspense, and a little romance is your cup of tea then I would definitely give this book a try!

V základu mě vlastně celkem zaujala i hlavní myšlenka, a dějová linie příběhu.
Vážně by dospívající chlapec, ustál "rvačku" s cvičeným policistou?

Way to charge into the new reading year - almost as good as a YA thriller can be!

Simply put, this was amazing. I DEFINITELY did not expect who it was and the twist at the end of who it was! It made me so mad and sad. But the romance in this book 🫠. It’s not super spicy but it’s a sweet slowish burn. It just had me falling in love with these 2. I wish it wasn’t over, I want to know what comes next for them!

I love JLA, but wow… this was not great

The romance between Jensen and Ella was strong, but the whole mystery plot was unintriguing and predictable. The climax was rushed and not overly well written.

This is a heartbreaking story with a very shocking plot. There is love, a lot of murder, and a highschool lovestory. It is crazy but amazingly written! You learn more and more about the characters during the story and u just need to know what happens next.
