Free book of JLA's available to read on Wattpad. Love JLA!

Well, that was fun! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! It's a mystery and a romance book with a few twists I didn't exactly see coming. It's not in print at this point, but you can read it on Wattpad.

3,5.

It was a good book, nothing too special, and nothing too bad. A good in-between read. It was suspenseful alright, and I wondered too at the end who the fuck was crazy enough to do the shit that was done. Though, I wish I could have met Penn. I wish I could have seen him get confident and get help. That made me sad, by a lot.

There were a few clichés, but it was endurable. The storyline was interesting enough that it sucked you in as well, so when you're looking for a good little tense story, I recommend it.

Okay, so this book. I did not see that coming and I really hoped it was not him, but damn. Armentrout, I will read anything you write because that plot twist had me gasping.

This was a good thriller. You follow the victim of a attack go through horrible things. Not much of a detective story more like bad things happen and you trying to survive and are scared, wanting to know why this is happening. Dealing with the trauma and finding love. I liked the romance but I kind of find it a little weird considering all that stuff that went down. Don't get me wrong they're very cute and he is a good safe point trying to protect her. I really liked the plot twist.

So I just started work at a sewing factory again and that has given me the chance to yet again lose myself into audiobooks. For some reason I can only listen to audiobooks if I am busy cleaning or working. So I do wanna say that I am not a fan of standalones. I would much rather lose myself in a series rather than standalones. But this one I enjoyed and gave 4 stars!! The banter in this book and Ella and Jensen were great! Great characters, great plot, and no slow, hard to get through spots in the book. Definitely YA and a good thriller. More mature themes. I did still have some questions at the end of the book. But I did enjoy it!

Jennifer Armentrout is a very loved author here on Goodreads, and I have been wanting to read one of her books, I got my hands on this one, and I have to say, I'm disappointed… Specially looking at the ratings… Did I read a different book?
There're too many things about this, that just rubbed me the wrong way, too many ridiculous far-fetched moments.

Every time Ella is attacked, she acts like it isn't a big deal. She almost died! It is a big deal! And no one tells her that! Life just resumes as nothing happen…
She almost died of asphyxiation, but her only concern is about her physical appearance, it's ridiculous that almost dying wasn’t enough of a reality check for her.

And the romance… ugh… I found it so incredibly annoying. In theory, I guess this could work: a mystery with romance mixed in, but it just didn't! The tone is way off!
What kind of mystery book keeps going on and on, about how hot some guy is? Ella just forgets that she's just being attacked and harassed by some sick guy, or than young people that she knows are going missing and coming back as corpses, just because Jensen smiles at her and touches her…

Speaking of Jensen, in what world are 17 year old boys fully jacked? Yeah right… But he isn't just insanely hot and knows it. He's also overly confident, super loyal, always says the right thing, and somehow is always in the right place at the right time… *eye roll*

The side-characters, mainly her "best-friends", are one dimensional cardboards… Heidi is always eating granola bars… wtf?
While she is taking a shower in her other friend house (I forgot her name). How long was she in the shower?? The garage was filled with gas? Enough for the friend to get in a coma? If I cared more about this, I would researched I long this would take, but I don't…

In what world would a policemen would call the boyfriend instead of the mother, she is a minor! The lack of parental concern throughout the book is both unrealistic and funny…

I've skimmed the end, because I just hasn´t interested anymore. The "reveals" are… stupid! The motives are absurd, and just very forced! I fully body laugh when she sees the names written on the old bedroom wall… I don't care what that says about me, but this was stupid…

If you're a fan of JLA, you'll probably like this more. After having read too many mystery/crime thrillers and detective stories, this felt average. The list of growing dead people is because of something that happened in the past. Though what happened in the past seemed to be tragic, how that laid motive for the current events was just lame. The story also relies heavily on romance as her other books and here we get to see estranged friends to lovers trope. Overall it was an okay read but the motive did not do justice to what happened in the past (Especially a character called Penn), but, justice was served for the present crimes.
