A little too light and fluffy as far as my tastes run for a murder mystery, but a fairly fun, quick read.

Cozy murder mystery with self-satisfied main character.

This one was only so-so for me. It was an easy and quick read, but it was a little dated at times (published 1990). I had seen this book's movie on Hallmark Channel already, so I knew who the killer was before reading it, but it was still enjoyable because a lot of the details were changed for TV.

This was much more violent than most of the other series that I read--it had a really high body count! But I like the tone, and Aurora is interesting, so I'll definitely try book 2.

I don't usually read Cozy Mystery type books, but another series of hers was a favorite of mine years ago, so I decided to give this one a shot for spooky season. I don't know if I would have enjoyed it as much reading it, but listening to the audio, I got through the story quickly, and I didn't get hung up on any little details. I never suspected the one who actually did it until it was revealed. She did well in keeping the mystery concealed until then. I don't know that I'll listen to the whole series, but I decided to give book 2 a go as well since I enjoyed this one.
