This book was great! It was fun, interesting, had great characters and a good plot. I have never read any books by this author before but I will definitely be on the lookout for more! This book doesn't have any bad language or graphic sex scenes yet it still is suspenseful and mysterious but doesn't seem to be too seriously or crazy. I enjoyed it and I'd recommend it!

Too gruesome to be a cozy, but too slow to be a thriller, this story was enjoyable but a little dark for my taste. I'd read others in the series if they aren't all this bloody, as I liked the writing, characterization, and setting.

Although I still like the Harper Connelly series better, I thought this series stands up well. The premise is original, giving the series a full and interesting cast to pull from in future books. I hope that she fills out Roe's personality a bit more in the next few books. I would recommend this as a quick mystery read.

Fun series - plan to continue to the next book. Love the heroine

I loved this book! It was wonderful to discover a good clean series.

Interesting story. I like Aurora and I like Arthur the cop, but I'm not really a fan of Robin the writer. I was surprised at who ended up being the killer(s). And I was a little disgusted when the killer(s) were planning on killing a child. That was just wrong. I will continue with the series, but I will not be rushing out to buy the next book.

This was such a good cozy. It was a little more gory than I expected so be warned. Roe has a great sense of humor and is a very grounded character. She wants adventure and she sure gets it. I did not see the twist in this one coming and I loved that! The romance is not the main focus, but it is interesting and I need to know what happens next.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book, a series of copycat murders involving members of a local true crime fiction club. However, I found that the characterizations haven't aged well. The relationships seem unbelievable, and the descriptions of the gay characters are uncomfortable. I acknowledge that this series was written years ago, but it is hard to get past some of the specific details.

I had a really hard time with this book. The writing is not my style - it seems to be an older author who doesn't fit with my younger speaking rhythm and use of contractions. I did find Aurora funny and refreshing on occasion, enough to finish the book, but not enough to read any more in the series.
