These books are starting to make about as much sense as a horse flipping pancakes...

But I guess that might the point.

Absolutely nothing new happened. This series has been on repeat since book 9. The only thing that is new is that I no longer find it funny nor do I like Stephanie. She has shown zero growth.

As usual, lots of laughs

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself.
This one seemed a little bit less problematic at the beginning, and then just went off the rails with the racist stereotypes and constant slut shaming. Ugh.

I was quite pleased with this book in the series. It feels like Evanovich is getting her groove back when it comes to writing this series. It was funny, had good movement, and the usual Plum/Lulu hijinks. The only downside was the end fell a tiny bit flat. It could have been punched up a little to make the ending more fun and less of a fizzle.

I am done with Janet Evanovich and the Stephanie Plum series. They were entertaining at first, but the last few books have just not been great. I don't think the author is even trying anymore. This one was the worst, and the last one I will ever read. Now It just feels like if you've read one, you've read them all. Throw in the absolutely ridiculous plot line (seriously? A GIRAFFE on the loose in the streets?) and it just spells the end for me.
