Takedown Twenty

Janet Evanovich

This book included a giraffe sighting, a murder mystery, a cement accident and so much more. It had the usual humor with Stephanie Plum adventures. I love this series and it is a light - hearted read.

As much as I love the Stephanie Plum series, I think it's time that Evanovich retires the bounty hunter. The last few books have been repetitious but with only a few new elements or two mixed in (in this book, a giraffe). Stephanie still can't choose between Morelli and Ranger, Lulu is still on "diets" and Stephanie must own a vampire hamster because Rex is mighty old by now.

That being said, I still enjoyed the book for what it is and it did make me laugh several times. If you have read this far in the series, you should read it but I wouldn't have someone new to the series jump in with this instalment.

One step forward and two steps back? I almost felt like Stephanie made progress.

I think I have tired of these books. I like whacky, but a giraffe?

I really wanted to love this book as much as I did the others, however I was left disappointed. There is no character development and nothing new happened that hasn't already been dealt with in previous Plum novels. It feels like most of the book was copied and pasted from the earlier books!
I found Notorious Nineteen quite disappointing and hoped that this book would be the last one in the series. When Steph was getting domestic I thought it was heading in that direction, but no, once again Stephanie can't decide between Joe and Ranger. And seriously, after years of being together if you don't want to be with just Joe, that's probably a sign you shouldn't settle down with him!
I love Janet Evanovich and her hilarious writing, but unfortunately in this book, there were very few laughs.

Love, Love, Love Stephanie Plum. Can't get enough. But for the love of God, if I have to read ONE MORE book without hot sex with Ranger... UGH! lol

OMG! One of the funniest books I've ever read

Silly and predictable. An easy read for a busy time. But I would totally be ok with this series ending. Please?

These books are always fun fast reads. If you start reading them expecting something marvelous then you will be disappointed. I like reading these books because the characters are funny and the story lines are exaggerated mayhem. Plus, who doesn't love Ranger and Morelli?

Another fun read! The capers of Stephanie, Lula, and Grandma never fail to make me chuckle!
