I used to eagerly anticipate when a book in this series came out. Unfortunately, I don't do that any more. They are still funny but are starting to get stale, especially with Stephanie's inability to choose between Joe and Ranger. In this one, Stephanie is trying to bring in Joe's godfather (who happens to be a mob guy) which brings the evil eye from Grandma Bella. She is helping Ranger solve the murders of several local elderly women left in Dumpsters and Lula is trying to find a giraffe on the loose.

These books probably should have ended awhile ago. I haven’t read one in probably 5+ years and it still followed the exact same format. I overall enjoy reading them still for a light read between series, and other books.

Honestly, I love these kinds of books. Easy to read and Stephanie Plum always gets herself into precarious situations. Being the 20th book and this type of genre, there is definitely a formula for how the book is written. There's always a different mystery to solve but it isn't quite as thrilling as the first 10 were. Regardless, I love the characters and the storyline that I continue to pick up the next in the series to see what Stephanie has gotten into this time!

This book made me laugh. She always has no elements to her old plot and story, but the reason these books keep working is they are funny. It's time to end it, but it was still a pleasing read.

Much better than the last few. I am disappointed that Evanovich didn't use this book to wrap up the series. It was the perfect opportunity. None of the characters had any forward movement which was a disappointment.

I fear this series will just go on and on which is a disservice to the characters and the author who are better than that.

I read the Stephanie Plum novels out of sheer habit now, though I no longer enjoy them like I used too. They used to be laugh-out-loud funny and now I just find them ridiculous.

It was ok because I love the characters but with a giraffe running around in it I thought it was kind of out there. Not my favorite Stephanie book.

I always enjoy a little time in the Berg! Stephanie and the Gang are always good for a few laughs. It was the light read that I needed.

Cute. A fun quick read. The series isn't as good as it was when it began, but I still enjoy reading the newest story in the series and finding out what happens next :)

Same old, same old.
