I think it just wasn’t the book for me at the time. I was very excited to read it, and maybe my expectations were very different than what I was reading (I did not research much about it, honestly). 

HOWEVER, I am about to start reading it again, restarting entirely, and just a few pages in I feel much better about it. This DNF I don’t think is reflective on the author/story AT ALL, and just reader preference/headspace I guess. I’m excited to give it another crack!
