5 stars for content, 2 stars for the graphic novel format. The gimmicks they used to provide the context were obnoxious.

Ahhhhh I learned so much! My preferred form of learning is now graphic novel

Really wasn’t speaking to me. Might try later at a different time in my life or maybe a different format?

Finding out more about Harari, he seems like an overrated crank. I’d rather read real experts.

This was a great way to approach a deep and complex topic. It was fun to read and I feel like I learned an incredible amount.

For example: there were once six species of humans occupying the planet simultaneously. I always thought it was just us and the Neanderthals.

It also now makes perfect sense why people resist change. Why cultural mythology and heroes are so important. Also, why the larger your troop becomes, the harder it is to hold it together. And why people seem, not necessarily dumber, but maybe not as broadly smart as we once were. We are great due to our ability to record our knowledge and we can have specialized experts in any number of fields. But the average hunter gather had to know a lot more than the average person today. That is, if I have understood this correctly.

I may go ahead and try out the actual book as a result of having read this. Well done.
