I really loved the characters in this book. Lily has a real problem. She really has a bad self image, considering herself evil and trying to deny her demon side instead of embracing both sides of herself as something special. As her relationship with Sebastian gets closer she can't fathom why he would like her for any other reason than due to something she did to him to sway his desires.

Sebastian seems to be the perfect partner for Lily. He is self confident, rich and knows what Lily is and isn't scared of her.

I also really enjoyed her best friend Dani - she is a strong self-assured woman who is super supportive of her best friend.

I read this book because i won book two in the series in a giveaway and i hate reading things out of order. It's a well written story with a well developed plot and interesting characters. I just didn't feel like i was reading anything new or different.
I think if you're new to the urban fantasy/romance genre this would be an excellent series to start with, but if you've read a lot of it you're going to feel like you're doing a reread. This could just be her laying the ground work for the rest of the series, we'll see

A mystery that will hook you from the start. Lily Knight is half-demon, half-human prosecutor turned investigator. She ended up in a murder mystery that involving her kind as targets of ther serial killer. I was hook from start to finish needing know who was the kill and how lily will deal with it....this frist book i read by this author i cant wait to read more.

I was so lucky to get an ARC! This is such a good read!

If you like October Daye, but wanted demons and cambions instead of fae or a little more sultry, sexy heat, then this book is for you!

This romance starts with a dead body. The murder mystery and romance are entangled in a wonderful way. I was invested in Lily, her career outcome, and her primary romance. Ariel and Danny are excellent supporting cast.

Fulmer's dialogue and character interactions evoke the varied histories she has with her supporting cast and the flirtation with the love interest is nerdy to the core. And I love it!

Overall, I highly recommend and I cannot wait to read the sequel!

A smashing urban fantasy murder mystery. Engaging characters, red herrings galore, lessons in consent and boundaries. Learning how to be yourself guilt-free, healing.  Relapses.
Lily has a great voice. The struggles with her mentor are as tangible as her efforts to build new relationships.

Could be more queer but that could be a me-problem. 😅

I pre-ordered this book, but was also fortunate enough to get a free copy when ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) came out.

Cambion's Law was an entertaining read from start to finish, but my favorite thing (and what stood out the most) was the author's use of consent. Even though the kink in CL consisted mostly of only light bondage, the rules of consent and negotiation were abundantly clear and very, very sexy. This is no small feat in my opinion. I am a proponent of "consent is sexy" and "consent is key," but I don't always see authors use it well or make it sensual. I am so pleased to say that author Erin Fulmer did both with success.

It's also worth noting that I was so absorbed in this book that I finished in one day! Fulmer laid out some absolutely delicious breadcrumbs from plot point to plot point and while I had my theories on the culprit behind it all, I was never 100% sure until the reveal. Kudos to her for that! It kept me reading to see if I was right, and what juicy tidbit I'd learn next. It's exactly what I look for in the mystery of Urban Fantasy

If you're in it for the hot love interest, readers should know that Sebastian is super sexy (I imagined him as a Lewis Tan, since he's tall and lean and looks incredible in a suit). If you're into the bi/panic vibe, you'll love the rest of the characters. Danny is the MVP (you'll know when you read it).

Would absolutely recommend!
