Worth a read if you're looking for a good, moreish book to devour on holiday etc. Would recommend for fans of Gone Girl, Girl On The Train etc. Good solid thriller that will keep you guessing right til the end, but is unlikely to change your life or be your new fave book ever. 3 stars.

I won’t lie, I found this book irritating.
In this book, 2 sisters fly to one of those secluded island hotels (in Fiji) where there isn’t much to do but lie on the beach and sunbathe. Why you’d do that is beyond me, but people are different I guess.
Anyway, the island doesn’t accept big planes, so they land on the main island, and plan to catch a small hopper flight the next day. One catches the flight, the other doesn’t, so when it crashes, the one who missed the flight, wracked with guilt, devotes much of her life to finding her sister.
The book then alternates between sisters, one who missed the flight, and the other who survived, but is stranded.
The book irritating me. I guessed pretty quickly what had to have happened for the story to play out, so as I read the book I was very much in “Don’t care, already guessed, can we get on with it?” mode. If you’re not good at guessing, or can set feelings like that aside, you’ll enjoy the book more than I did.
Oh, and another thing. The ending wasn’t bad, but it tried to have its cake and eat it.
