I didn't actually finish this. I made it about 75% of the way before my book club meeting, and the ending was summarized well enough there that I didn't care enough to actually finish the audiobook. This book is fine, and I really liked some of the characters, but for whatever reason it just wasn't what I was looking for at this time, and there are too many other books to read to waste a moment finishing something just to have finished it. This book has a trope I have a really hard time with, where Character A knows a lot more about Character B than B knows about A, and A has sex with B anyway. Not into it. Still, YMMV, as there are some great characters, amnesia can be a fun trope, and the worlds both of celebrity chefs and of cowboys are a good time to explore.

Fun, very original premise and well executed. Good worldbuilding, which is often missing in contemporaries.

I accidentally read the sequel to this book first, but luckily I think these can all be read as standalones!
I think writing amnesia storylines is quite difficult for the modern romance writer. However, I trust Rebekah Weatherspoon with my life for achieving it realistically and with all parties involved acting like adults. Sometimes adults do stupid things, but I expect them to apologize and make amends for the mistakes. RW always delivers that in spades! The endings are always satisfying, the Big Bad isn't as scary as they could have been, and the MCs get the HEA they deserve. While Zach and Evie were not my absolute favorite couple, I still believed their story, and I loved Evie to death. She is unapologetically strong, capable, and will not let people get away with treating her unfairly.

The main character gets amnesia. The man she has spent her adult life angry with and avoiding takes the opportunity to get with her while she can't remember she wants nothing to do with him.
I find that whole premise gross, and the fact that they're end game made me hate the book.

Not into amnesia plots, and I’ve never been into cowboys, but I like Rebekah Weatherspoon and trust her world building, so I read this. The ranch and the characters connected to it are a highlight—as with other Weatherspoon books, I got a good sense of who the main character was and her strong group of friends and chosen family. This is a satisfying read, with lots of little details that percolate.
What didn’t work for me so much: the smidge of a mystery plot (didn’t seem to be needed), and also, I wanted the book to show more of why Evie and Zach fell for each other. It felt sprung on me—they’re into each other—and I wanted more.
