Great collection of shorter stories. I liked how to the point they were and the fact that the pace had to be relatively up, which always helps a Wallander story. I like the references to events and the early seeds of annoyance that percolate in later years.

Me da mucha nostalgia este libro. Por los que están y los que sé que se fueron.

A couple shorter stories that take place before the first book. Really nice, actually! Books like these can suffer when not all stories are good, but these all were. Things Wallander references in the novels happen here and it's nice to finally have ACTUAL context

Will be sad to wave Wallander off. Was skeptical when I heard there was a prequel to the series because you wonder why an author decides to track back but Kurt Wallander is an interesting character you want to know more about.

There still wasn't enough of a certain character for me and I won't spoil who but I did enjoy his father being involved a lot more especially in the last story.

Not the best addition by Mankell but still thoroughly enjoyable and a worthy pick up that doesn't shame the series.
