It all happened too quickly... so it was fine

🥱

Glimmers of You blew my mind! It has everything from heated banter to sweet realizations, heart breaking moments to steamy ones. And of course the suspense is perfection!

Caden has the biggest heart that he keeps behind the walls he has erected around it in an attempt to keep it safe. After losing his sister, he can't bare the thought of losing another person he loves. My heart broke for Caden and his family. I love the fact that the only person who really sees him is Grae. She is an amazingly strong woman who feels like she has to constantly show the people in her life just how strong she is. She lives with type 1 diabetes, which in itself is difficult.

Once these two finally spend time together, they start to heal the hurts of the past. Grae helps Caden realize that love is worth all risks, and that family can be chosen. Caden helps Grae's family to realize that they often treat her with kid gloves. The way these two love one another makes the best kind of romance story! And the suspense? Top notch! I didn't see one part coming at all! Gah! I loved every minute of this incredible book!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Too dramatic and unrealistic with the brother and then the coworker. Main characters almost immediately got together once they started fake dating and it felt rushed.

Loved Caden and Grey. His parents repeatedly let him down, but I appreciate his determination to try to stick by his family.

Grey picked up knife throwing as a hobby. That makes her one of my favorite people. I want to learn how to throw knives.

Caden & Grey

Catherine writes romantic suspense so well. You are always wondering what’s going to happen. You are so invested in the story. This story is brothers best friend. Childhood best friend. Fake dating. Forced proximity. Small town. All the good things. Caden is back for awhile for his family’s business. Grae’s feelings resurface immediately. Caden was the one she always loved. The one who got away. But can Caden deal? They have quite an emotional rollercoaster to find their hea. So many external forces. Loved reading how Caden and Grae navigated those forces. Can’t wait for Roans story.

loving the romance + suspense genre right now and this would have been easily a high 4 but everything was ruined with the last two pages of the book.
