Since I love the TV show, I grabbed this book at the library. It is just like the TV show, only longer and a little funnier.

Quick, fun mystery. If you ever liked the TV show you would enjoy the book.

Another good installment in the Monk series. Monk has to deal with his Captain being the main suspect in a murder. He even gets a real "job" with benefits for a short time before returning everything to the status quo. :)

I liked this book. It threw me off a little bit that it was told from the perspective of Natalie Teager. But other then that it was a nice mystery and I am a Monk fan. Fun read.

Maybe the title should have been Dirty Cops (plural). These books have been taking Monk out of his comfort zone (such as it is) of late. This one took him to a different job than police consultant.

I enjoyed this book as I usually do the Monk series for its irony, wit and wisdom but it felt different from the others. I was shocked that the original psychiatrist was suddenly noted as dead with no real explanation about this - it really knocked me out of the story at that point. I also felt the lovely Randy Disher wasn't treated as kindly as usual , and Natalie seemed a lot more serious at some points. However, that said, it's still very readable and I will of course look out for the next one in the series.

This was fine. These are just a fun time, it’s nothing amazing or that serious. I know I’ve said this in another review for these book, but I do feel like they change Natalie’s political view(I could be remembering wrong, but that stuff sticks out to me). They did reference some of the tv episode plots which I enjoyed. The mystery is so easy to guess even without the title giving it away. Overall if you like the show and the past books I would recommend this, but if not then skip it.

This was really quirky and funny. The mystery itself wasn't that exciting, but there were a couple of times where I just stopped and laughed. Those moments made the whole read worth it.
