The writing made the story feel slow.
 I wasn't really into any of the characters and the sisters dynamic, you would think they would have been more bonded
or truama bonded at least
but they were so self centered and willing to stop talking to each other, even though they had no support.
The story also tried to take on so much of women's liberation when this book is set in the 1920s.

This was a slow book. I wanted to love it so much because I really loved another of her books but I just had such a hard time getting into it.

What I pulled from this book is Empowerment. I loved that the big storyline and individual journeys played so well together. The variety of characters were easy to follow and I felt like I actually lived with all of them. Great story of witchcraft origins and the female fight for rights!
