Written beautifully, but the subject matter doesn’t interest me whatsoever.

where do i even start. i was enjoying this Sooooo much in the first part it was beautiful especially the writing. i really really like the writing which is why i even continued reading but then here comes part two and three and suddenly all im reading is sex and the same things over and over again which makes sense since abusive relationships do tend to be repetitive but that’s not my issue i just felt like there was no plot anymore. What really irked me as well is the fact that part three had alexi? and he is so young they also start to refer to each other as sister , brother & mom etc and that just felt weird to read i couldn’t wait for it to be over. however one thing i really liked was the way the emotions were portrayed though i think that’s all thanks to the writing because if it wasn’t written like that i most likely would’ve dnfed lol.

"i sucked the sweet red liquor from her skin while she murmured my name, her hands tangled in my hair. i had never known such perfect tenderness, such absolute ecstasy. it terrified me."

in a delicious prose that makes you want to sip it languidly ; bloodlust, passion and rage mingle into an intoxicatingly bittersweet liquor, dripping thickly from a pulsating wound. exposed skin, tender flesh, merciless touch, unforgiving teeth ; a frenzy of eroticism and ever-aching hunger.
the masterful portrayal of an intricate love that feels like agony, drawing its strength from the darkest pits of mind and soul, but remaining coated in the most blindingly pure devotion. anger ultimately triumphing ; blazing hot, fierce & unyielding - the most effective weapon to free one's self from any shackles.
